Quality Control System

This program is much more a study course on how to implement a systematic process and procedure so the QC and QA people can obtain minimal and acceptable rate defect by implementing proactive tools to respond to quality requirement set by factory and client’ s factory. The course will teach the participants effective processes for controlling quality at each step of the making up process, including warehouse, cutting room, sewing, and finishing sections. Participants will be introduced to tools and forms that help reduce defects, improving production quality while minimizing waste and costly rework. The course duration is 100 hours with 3days in classroom. 

Duration: 12 hours at the classroom theory and 70 hours practice on the job in the factory/workshop.

Requirement: Experience in the industry and basic mathematics required, Quality Control experience highly desirable

Who should take this course? Persons working in or supervising Quality control in cutting room, sewing or finishing section.

Objectives:

Participants will also be introduced to tools and forms that help reduce defects, improving production quality while minimizing waste and costly rework.

Course Content:

  1. Garment assembly and characteristics, and common defects of stitches and seams
  2. Organization of the Quality Control System

·         Responsibility for “quality”

·         Quality control points in the production cycle

·         Methods for controlling quality

·         Daily, weekly, monthly, Quality.Control.Report

 

  1. Defining Quality Specifications
  2. Tools to organize and facilitate quality control reporting.
  3. In-factory implementation, including coaching participants to implement quality processes, and management responsibility,

Competencies:

Participants will learn the key components of quality control, and to provide the information needed by management to control defects and meet client requirements, including:

  • to define the Quality Specification for each operation of garment production
  • to set quality targets for production personnel. 
  • to produce Weekly Quality Control Report and
  • to develop a factory index of defects
